Nonstop Dance at the Electric Daisy Carnival New York
Electric Daisy Carnival
123-01 Roosevelt Ave
The most over-the-top EDM party of the year transforms Citi Field into a neon wonderland of nonstop dancing, carnival rides, immersive art installations, costumed performers, food trucks, and full-service bars, as EDC New York 2016 spins through town, May 14-15th. Officially known as the Electric Daisy Carnival, the two-day-and-night music fest promises to draw upwards of 200,000 revelers over the weekend, with both VIP and General Admission passes available for one or both dates.
"The American Ibiza" for Twenty Years & Counting
The EDC phenomenon began in 1997, when the first party was hosted on the sly in Los Angeles (as such parties often were in those days). Since then, its beats have spread across the United States and world, from Colorado to Puerto Rico, Brazil to Japan. In fact, it's the largest EDM festival outside of Europe.
If it's electronic, you'll hear it at EDC. Styles include borderline hip-hop, house, dubstep, dance-punk, trance, drum and bass, and more - many on themed stages designed to incite a certain "feeling."
What Makes it a "Carnival," Exactly?
You'll understand the minute you walk through the gates, with stilted performers in wild costumes, aerialists, circus acts, interactive artwork, and FREE, full-size carnival rides at the heart of the festivities.
Under the Electric Sky
