Weekly SOHO Art & Dance at Eden’s Expressway
FREE ($3 suggested donation)
New York City is a muse and playground for artists of all kinds, many of which make themselves at home in the historically charged neighborhood of SOHO. Art is everywhere you turn here, from the street to galleries, secret stages, and hallowed performance spaces. One such creative alcove is Eden’s Expressway, just three short blocks from your high-style suite at NOMO SOHO. There, the innovative dance lab known as Movement Research hosts an Open Performance every Tuesday, wowing audiences with in-development pieces and direct discourse with choreographers.
The Fall 2015 / Winter 2016 Season
You never know what you’ll see during an Open Performance as the weekly series is non-curated. It's first come, first served nature guarantees an eclectic mix of styles, as dancers and choreographers bring up to 12 minutes of work they are still experimenting with to garner constructive feedback from the audience. Every week is hosted by a Movement Research Artist-in-Residence or special guest, who also serves as moderator for the discussion after each performance.

If you’re a dancer or choreographer working on a piece yourself, consider registering for an Open Performance date in the coming season. While Spring 2016 is already full, check the Movement Research website often to stay abreast as to when registration will begin for later in the year.
