 NoMo Blogs Ballroom

Indie Rock and Bar Well-stocked.

NYC’s Best Music Club

Witness the sounds of the most influential indie rock bands of our time at The Bowery Ballroom. Dubbed New York City’s “best music club,” located on the Lower Eastside, The Bowery Ballroom is a place for musicians on the rise (or are already holding their own) to kill it on stage.

Not feeling Joe Schmo’s hipster band? That’s okay. Head downstairs to get a taste of The Bowery Ballroom’s nicely stocked bar. The Bowery’s also known for their pretty impressive post-show affairs. Joe Schmo may not be a great indie-rocker, but he’s probably fun to have drink with, along with the 600 others who attended his show.

Either way, this historic music venue has introduced New York City, and the world, to a diverse range of artists (many whose songs will live forever on radio waves). It’s also conveniently just a 10-minute walk from NoMo SoHo, located on Kenmare Street, between Bowery and Chrystie Street.

If you want to buy tickets for a show at the door, make sure to bring cash. Otherwise, you can get tickets to see the next big indie rock band online.

Fun fact: The Bowery’s stage was the setting for the iconic moment that changed Violet Sanford’s life in the early 2000s hit movie, “Coyote Ugly.” It also got some big screen action out of the 2008 film, “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist.”
